  1. It was so easy to picture this story although I never had a bike with training wheels (nor did my son). Growing up in the country meant learning to ride on a grassy knoll with a bit of a hill to practice a lot on grass. Graduating to “real bike riding” meant riding on rock so we were always going for a high level of independence!

    Hindsight – – – our parents did know something! 🙂
